Thompson Massage and Reflexology
About

Hi everyone my name is Nick Thompson, thank you for finding me.  I was drawn to bodywork over the course of many years developing a fascination for the human body.  What they are capable of, how resilient they are, and how we animate this structure of muscle and bones to flow through life on our constant journey of seeking the things that give us meaning, purpose and joy.  We move through this existence of ups and downs and how we cope is a direct correlation to the relationship we've developed with this temporary vessel.  Over the course of growing older- working, raising families, and being whatever roles are required or called to us at the time, we consciously and unconsciously may store physical, emotional and mental trauma in our structure, tissues, organs and fascia.  Bodywork is one of many ways to help heal ourselves, maintaining health and vitality as we strive to age gracefully.  I was recently asked how I got into this and after stumbling through an answer had to go back later, piecing together how I ended up in Seattle doing bodywork.

I was born and raised and spent the first thirty years of my life in Minnesota.  An upbringing of fishing, hunting, campfires, camping, baseball, biking and exploring.  After high school I attended a trade school learning carpentry and cabinetmaking and ended up working for a really great company building and remodeling residential homes in southern Minnesota for twelve years.  A shift started drawing me to learn about the human body and find a path where I could make a career in it.  While visiting family here in the west I enrolled at a school in the Seattle area to learn reflexology and a few years later a school for massage therapy.  The journey of moving and changing careers has been filled with great memories, not only being amidst the beauty of the Pacific Northwest but the excitement of new experiences and meeting amazing people along the way.  I am forever grateful that I found bodywork, or that it found me.  My passion is assisting people with stress or pain patterns in their bodies through different modalities mainly using a combination of massage, craniosacral therapy, cupping, aromatherapy and reflexology to open channels and pathways, helping release stuck energetic patterns in the body allowing it to more easily heal.  I am excited to be a lifetime student, learning as much as I can along the way to be of better service.  Simply I want people that come to see me have a body with less pain and in a more relaxed state after a session so they can go back out in the world and do what they love as well.
